The Cutest, Contrasting Flat Shoes I’ve Seen All Over Paris and Milan This Fall

Over the past four weeks, I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve scanned thousands of street styles and tried to spot the emerging trends that are trending in fashion month. Of course, I am talking about what we saw in the rainy / summer 2025 trends at the end of this month, but for now I have been showing my efforts to write about the situation that has caught my attention. It was when I was looking at the recent paintings in Milan and Paris that I started to see something new. Introducing the curved heel shoe style.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: Aren’t 99% of heels bent? Of course, this is the case, and many pairs have a slope that faces the outside of the heel. However, what I’m seeing now is a preference for shoes where the heel instead turns inward, so the curved heel moves.

Fixed on shoes, court shoes and boots, all in different lengths and sizes, are these unusual items that can make the outfit more refined at the same time, without disrupting or defeating your overall appearance. That’s why I think wedge heels have been trending this month – they add a bit of flair, of course, but they still work with any kind of ensemble, whether it’s classic and elegant or edgy. unique.

With its unique shape, the look of these shoes reminds me of Alexander McQueen’s Armadillo shoes, which were produced in very limited quantities (I’m talking 24 pairs when they started in 2009 and then three more that were made especially for the charity sale in 2015). Although their look has been embellished and recognized for a moment, the 2024 collection of stiletto-heels is reminiscent of them, but (for most of us, anyway) more worn.

After seeing a lot of flip flops during fashion month, I decided to do some market research and, in doing so, I think I’ve inadvertently come across one of the biggest, albeit under the radar, trends of the season! From Zara and Arket to The Row and the latest collection from Alexander McQueen, there are plenty of wedge-heel shoes available right now, so it’s sure to be a lot.
